Why I love 'Watership Down'

Although the story is not really aimed at children, I read the book when I was about 11. I saw the animated movie soon after this. Despite the storyline being anything other than sugar-coated, I really loved it, and it certainly captured my attention. I have never forgotten this story. It is strangely unforgettable, giving the story from the viewpoint of the rabbits and providing a realistic storyline. It's a classic.
